The combined aims of the patient-led South West Thames Kidney Fund, the South West Thames Institute for Renal Research, and the medical and nursing staff of the South West Thames Renal & Transplantation Unit are:

 

• To improve the understanding of renal pathology
• To improve the treatment of renal disease
• To improve the care of renal patients
• To train and stimulate scientific, nursing, and medical staff
